Did I have my period?

Okay I had my son 9 weeks ago and last Sunday i started spotting and spotted until Friday. It was brown/light pink never enough to cover a pantyliner. I'm breastfeeding. Was that considered my first period? My PP bleeding stopped about 6/7 weeks PP?

I have read about this, it is completely normal and called lochia! Light bleeding and spotting can continue into many weeks after pregnancy! It's how your body gets rid of the lining of your uterus after birth and the extra blood and tissue that was required in your body while pregnant. The blood may come out in gushes or flow more like a heavy period. The bleeding will change colour and become lighter as your uterus heals and returns to its pre-pregnancy size!
