Always happens

I had a period at the end of June into July and then again at the end of August ending in September. I haven't had another one yet. My periods have never been like this, I'm only usually a week late but this is the second time it's happened. I am getting slight cramps like I'm going to start but haven't yet. I don't want to get my hope up like I did last time. Anyone know what could be going on? I don't have health insurance yet so I can't afford to go to the doctor.
