Vaginal acne/pimples?!

I have about 7 or 8 spots on my upper vagina and they won't budge!! I've shaved and waxed the area, so there are no hair follicles blocked or anything.. but they cause me a lot of pain and discomfort and I'm at a dead end of what to do!? please help x

Shaving (and waxing) can cause ingrown hairs, which look like pimples. Before you shave heat the area (run warm cloth under warm water, or do while showering). Shave in direction the hairs grow NOT against. Clean with a gentle acne wash; make sure it's not an exfolliant, you want to reduce irritation. When you finish, run under cool water. Dry off with a CLEAN towel. Put polysporin on it (I've also heard someone recommend rubbing alcohol, not sure about it though). For the already there pimples, your skin on you vagina is strong, pop them pimples and get it washed out. If there's a hair in the pocket, pluck it out. Your skin will heal pretty quickly there. If you're certain it's not ingrown hairs, see a doctor, or call healthlink.

I get that a lot from shaving. Ive found that deodorant (especially the liquid kind) is really helpful in diminishing the itch and discomfort. As for the pimples, im not sure what to tell you. I usually pop mine because they tend to block the hair follicles. But that may not be good advice to follow so do what you want with that information

Try putting deodorant on fright after you shave your vagina. It's helped me so much!

I had a few bumps that I was concerned about because they werent like normal pimples/ingrown hairs and I had never had anything like that before. I honestly was scared it could have been an std but when my doctor checked she said it was blood vessels and its very common in pregnancy and would go away shortly after birth. I had never heard of that before   you might have the same thing. I would still have it checked at your next appointment though.

See your doctor, I know it can be embarrassing but the doctor will likely give you a cream for the area x
