Are these just sun spots? And how do I get rid of them?

I've had these white spots on my stomach and back for over a year and they won't go away. What are they and how do I get rid of them?

I believe it's what I have. It's called tinea versicolor. It's basically a fungal infection of your skin that temporarily destroys your pigmentation. It will eventually go back to normal. But it is a disease you will have to keep up on. I have mine all the time but it gets worse in the summer. You can use jock itch creme or selsum blue shampoo as body wash to get rid of it. That will stop the itching immediately but the spots take a couple of weeks to go back to normal. Here is a picture of mine.

I have the same thing just around my whole back and on the top of my arms and stomach. I have no clue how to get ride of them.
