🎃Fear Discussion🎃 TV based childhood fears
After finding several Youtube videos over "Scariest child program moments" and the like, I was kind of disappointed my personal fears were absent from every video (maybe I'm just too old and no one remembers mine??).
So for fun: What was the scariest thing YOU saw during youth from kids shows/family programing? It would be awesome if you could also do a quick google search and post a pic of your fear.
For real discussion: Many kids shows tend to have some negativity (scary) parts of their plots and sometimes have some kind of moral to them. So as far as children ages 5-12, do you feel programming should be completely devoid of negativity, even if it teaches nothing or has no plot? Or should it have some negativity for the sake of learning or for the sake of a plot (like pretty much any Disney movie). Or should it blatantly have negativity (say like The Last Unicorn)?

For my childhood nightmare fuel, this is a pic of the great mouse machine from An American Tale. The movie was given to me at 5 years old and I couldn't watch this scene after the first time until I was 9. I don't remember much about the scene, just the rats were trying to go to America via boat and some cats were blocking the dock. So they make this monstrosity to run them off the dock and drown them assumedly in the water. Or that was my impression as a child. The noise this thing made haunted my dreams for years. This was a plot based movie I guess, because I don't think I leaned squat from this movie other than what real fear was maybe😕
