Bleeding/spotting while on Progesterone
I am 4 weeks and 5 days along. I just started taking progesterone 200mg suppositories yesterday. Today I have had light spotting and cramping. However, I also just checked and I had bright red blood on my pantyliner. Not a lot, but what would typically look like a start to a normal period.
When I called my doc she said its normal to spot on progesterone, because it's irritating the cervix and thickening the uterine walls. I am learning a lot and reading a lot and trying not to consume myself with worry.
Has anyone else experienced this or something similar? Should I be alarmed?
