Would it be a bad idea..?

If I called my baby by his first name and his dad called him by his middle name? I know it sounds like a dumb question but I wanna make daddy happy and use the name he likes for a middle name..

My SO is named Michael Destain (pronounced like Destin Florida). He got nicknamed Dusty by his grandfather, his aunts and uncles/cousins/even his mother calls him Destain. But coworkers and friends and I call him Michael. He said he's never had an issue responding. So I think whatever makes you happy.

It's fine. My daughters name is alyks pronounced Alex.  We call her Alex ellie and smelly she replys to all of them. I usually call her smelly so when I call her Alex or ellie she will correct me and say no its smelly mum. It's perfectly fine to call you child what ever you want to. Everyone has their own nickname for they kids

Kids get called different names by different people all the time. I don't  think it's a big deal.

My daughters name is Trinity Grace, my parents call her Grace but her dad and I Call her Trinity doesn't seem to bother her any.
