Which sleep method have you used and been successful with?

I am currently trying the Ferber method with my 14 month old, he is crying as we speak and so am I! It is so hard to let your baby cry, in between comforting him. I'm trying to stick with it but it's so hard!!

I say go get the baby. You're both crying and both not sleeping which is not good for either of you. I just went through a rough patch with my 13 month old he was sick and then also his room was a little too chilly. They are usually crying for a reason that may not be so obvious. So until you know the reason it's ok to comfort them. A little crying is ok but if it's just escalating and you're both losing sleep that's not going to work. There's all sorts of helpful less harsh ideas out there. It's hard just remember this time will pass.

I didn't use any method. If they woke up and fussed, I went to them. I wouldn't have been able to let em cry like that. It may work for some though.
If you're that upset, it might be your inner mommy telling you to go get that baby. :-)

I didn't use a method. If he got up, I went and comforted him back to sleep until he learned to self soothe. We only let him fuss himself to sleep. Never scream and cry.

Ive been co-sleeping with my son since he was 3 days old. I just felt so bad seeing him sleep all alone in his giant bed. Then I tried the cry it out method around age 1 and after 10 minutes I was like nope this is not for us. He just turned 4 and he's still in our bed. (Husband works sporadic hours so it's not a big deal for us)

I'm not a fan of the Ferber method but many people swear by it. Our "method" has always been routine. Bath, snack, brush teeth, story time/snuggles, lights out and goodnight. My son is almost 3 and we've had the same routine since about 6 months old. 
If he wakes during the night I comfort him back to sleep. Usually if he stirs he settles himself back down but sometimes a nightmare or need to go potty wakes him and he wants mommy to put him back to bed. I have no problem getting up with him and he settles back quite quickly. 
I can't imagine hearing him cry and not going to him but that's just my personal preference
