Flu shot??

Hi All, since I work in a school we have someone coming to give flu vaccines to all the faculty. I'm going to ask my Dr next week but just curious, who's getting one? Anyone been advised on the topic?

I got one in September. But I think they are safe for most pregnant women. Definitely ask OB or RE.

I got one at 9 weeks- both RE and OB told me and husband to get one. I work at a university so the flu goes around quite quickly.

Update: my OB recommended I get the vaccine at her office bc they have Mercury- free vaccines. If you are considering getting the flu shot you might want to ask about that first.

I got one already this year in feb or March and they are good for a year so my doctor said I will get another one when its been a year :) hubby always gets them with me too.

That's a really good question! My doctor said to wait until after the first trimester. Unfortunately for me, I'm not a candidate for a flu shot since I've had a REALLY reaction to one in the past. Doc said to skip it. But I'm making my husband and parents and sister all get one so they (hopefully) don't give the flu to me!
