Mammaroo?

So hubby and I went to the store a couple days ago and the lady gave us this big presentation about the mamaroo.... I understand the concept, but does baby really need that? It's about $250 and brother in laws gf put it on her registery. I feel like a basic less expensive swing would be more economical and I would rather family use the money for something else rather than a $250 swing... Opinions?

In my honest opinion babies grow so fast that I could not see myself spending that much money on a swing.

I like the mamaroo though I think it is a bit expensive. I would say that a crib set is a bigger waste of money.

A lot of babies reject these things.. Totally not worth spending lots. You can find lots of different cradle swings for way cheaper especially second hand.. Most people want to get rid of them and will happy take $50 for a barely used one.

I know so many moms who have had them and hated them. The babies grow out of them so fast and they really don't like them! I personally went with a bouncer/swing combo. Got it from target for $100 on sale.

If they needed it we would have had them long ago. I would never spend that much on one item a baby grows out of quickly. My baby does just fine in cheaper items and he loves them. Some people even go out, buy it and their baby doesn't like it.

I don't like how low it sits on the floor. Bending over after having a baby is not fun. Plus your baby will outgrown it quickly!!

I agree with you. It looks cool. But I like ours. The seat rotates so it either swings side to side or front to back. And then it either reclines or it sits up. My daughter loves it. It's a fisher price cradle n swing

I won't be buying one...but a friend is letting me borrow hers if my baby likes it. Hers didn't really like it until 2 months and then outgrew it by six. It was a gift but she said she never would have paid that much for something that could only be used for a short time.
