My waters broke at 1.00pm the day before our due date and we were actually just on our way out for lunch, thinking we were likely to be late by another couple of weeks. Even though this was our first the labour progressed rapidly and 7.5 hours later our baby girl was here. We had no plan but had gas and air, I went in to the pool which was not something I had thought I would do and then finally gave birth on the bed because she had started to get distressed. (She could probably hear me wailing and wondered what it was). Had a second degree tear and felt very fragile after but plan to go home in a few hours as no complications. Can't wait to get started as parents! Xx
