Breastfed, what color is your babies poop?

Lately my LO seems to have trouble having a poo.  He grunts and cries and seems to be in discomfort until lately it explodes from him or foams out and is usually green in color with a constancy of water. I've mentioned it to my doctor and he says that some babies actually try to hold it in.  The grunting isn't them pushing it's actually them trying not to push.  Just worried that maybe he's not getting any hindmilk.   This morning his poop was green and totally absorbed into his diaper...is this normal?

My baby is exclusively breastfed and his poop is like a greenish brown and very watery. He doesn't seem to hold it in all of the sudden there is a pause he smiles then you hear this horrific fart and get hit with the smell 😂 and he always only poops while breastfeeding.

My baby has no problem pooping. But she does go from greenish yellow to orange. A LC recommended feeding from the same breast twice in a row to drain the breast of hind milk.

Foamy poo usually means no enough hindmilk. Is your baby gaining weight? I've read that it could also be a dairy sensitivity. Try avoiding dairy in your diet to see if it makes a difference.

My baby's is yellow/brown and watery.... It took him awhile to poop though but they said my milk wasn't in yet. Now that it is it's more poop and its yellow/brown of course the beginning they poop that sticky stuff. Hope ur little one will feel better with popping and not holding it.

Breast fed poops are typically orange and "seedy". If you introduce any formula it can change to anywhere from green to brown. What your describing doesn't sound normal for an exclusivly breast fed baby. Hmm id take a picture of it and see the doctor. It could be diarrhea, especially the fact that it's so watery.

From my understanding, BF poop should have a seedy consistency. My little one leaves almost a milk curdle consistency poop on his diaper, once the liquidy part has been absorbed into the diaper.

Green does usually mean that baby is only getting fore milk. I had this problem with my son because I was overproducing. Once I started block feeding it resolved right away. He eats on one side at a time, switching with each feed. That way he is emptying the breast and getting hind milk as well.

Baby's poop had been liquidy yellow since she cleared out the meconium. Last night she had one random brown poop, but we're back to yellow.

I gave our little one the vitamin D supplement from enfamil last night and its TORE her stomach up! She's had orange diarrhea I feel horrible for her.
