How did you help your baby crawl? My daughter has been getting up on her hands and knees and rocking for about a month but pretty much refuses to crawl. :( ive tried showing her by crawling, ive tried helping her move her little arms and legs but she just doesnt want to. She is 1 year old, 9 months corrected! Thanks!

For children in my family we tend to put them on one side of the room or yard and go all the way across the room and call to them, tell em come here baby. Or put their favorite something far enough out of reach that they have to go get it

she will get there she just sounds stubborn :) or she is waiting for u not to pay attention I swear my son would only walk if I wasn't in the room for the first month like he was hiding a big secret

I have tried that. She will start to crawl and then just flop back down and try to scoot to it. Haha!

Does she get around without crawling? My son rolled everywhere and my nephew pretty much drags his legs. Is she mobile at all?

Well developmentally she is delayed because she was a micro preemie.

If she's not successfully getting to what she wants it might be time to discuss it with your pediatrician. At this age sh should be getting ready to walk. It could be just a minor delay and a quick fix.

My daughter started scooting across the floor before she could even sit up on her own. She still can't sit up on her own (6 months old) but she army crawls all over the house now! She can't support her weight on her hands and knees but uses her elbows to pull herself. Maybe your baby doesn't feel like they can move while supporting their own weight? Maybe try putting them on their elbows? My daughter started out scooting towards the dog toys (aka toys she wasn't allowed to have) so maybe you could find an object she really likes and normally doesn't have and see if she'll move towards it! My daughter also loves the tv remotes 😂

... 5 months. My sisters baby can wave at 7 months! My baby is no where near imitating sounds or motions but she's much more mobile than either of those babies. Sometimes babies just develop some skills earlier and some skills later. Don't worry about a thing!!

Also my baby is just super determined and is really stubborn and not content unless she's got exactly what she wants. Maybe you just have a chill, laid back baby whose content! I've learned that babies develop different skills at all different ages. My friends baby is already imitating sounds at ...

My dd did that no matter  what i did nothing worked. She preferred to stand by holding something than crawl. She skipped crawling but she did walk early. Now shes 6yr old . Her pediatric said some kids crawl  some wont  as long as their movements are fine.
