Soothie pacifier?

Any babies still taking the soothie pacifier? I'm trying to break my daughter from it! I've read it can harm her teeth later.(plus it's so ugly) lol. She only takes the paci to nap and on car rides. Any suggestions on how to get her to take a different one? I've tried the avent ones she's not interested!! Please help!!!

Nope, we're keeping ours for the first year. Pacifiers lower SIDS rates so as long as he takes one, we'll give it (up to a year). Plus, damage is only done to the mouth and teeth if they keep the pacifiers for YEARS, way past when they should. What's worse is when kids choose to suck their thumb or fingers, that can cause damage and is much harder to break that habit.

To each their own but we're keeping ours.

Mam was the only one my girl likes. Hated the soothies. I'd say just try another kind first. I think mam is better once the get teeth also

I kept the soothe with my first until 1 1/2 plan to with this one too. Why change if it works?

I'm hoping to move onto another kind pretty soon. But for now she's still using the soothies.

That's really not that often. Maybe try taking it away from her during car rides and give her something that distracts her. Like something that hangs from the handle of the car seat. Or one of those car mirrors for her to look at.
