New to GD
Hi Mamas! So, I have PCOS and was already on Metformin twice a day prior to getting pregnant. My NP had me do my glucose test early, and I found out yesterday that I do have gestational diabetes. I am 14 weeks. To be honest, I was SO sick up until 13 weeks that I hardly ate anything, let alone take my Metformin like I should have. So, now I am walking an hour a day and doing my best with the Metformin. I go to meet the dietician next week. Yesterday, I felt SO awful after eating (protein and carbs), I'm wondering if I should ask for something more than Metformin to get better glucose control? Because before I eat/ a few hours after I feel fine, so I am pretty sure it is related to my blood sugar. Also, does GD make you high risk? Thanks!
