Dads?

Question

I've known my child's dad for 10 years in high school he wanted to be with me but we never got that far I'm just moving back 4months ago and everything was perfect till I found out I was expecting .. I know I can be emotional at times but why do dads switch up and stop being that loving caring dude they was before you became pregnant ??

Definitely no excuse for it but Mayb he wasn't ready or looking for that serious of a situation. Having a baby is a very serious situation. So  some "boys" seem to act out by becoming cold and distant because the situation is no longer fun and care free. Good luck, don't let him rain on your parade too much.

I'd like to say it's because they're stressing as well. They're scared too. My hubs turned into a dick for a little while and every now and then I'll call him on it. He's much better after and sometimes doesn't realize. He's stressed about money and if he's gonna be a good dad. Not saying it's the same but maybe he's just scared

They get confused and worried about stuff just like women do, only they rarely mention what the problem is. Maybe he's just trying to figure out how to deal with this (even my so who definitely wants a baby with me sometimes gets worried and confused, and doesn't tell me what the problem is causing me to freak out, when if he'd just say what's up I could convince him it's fine and we'd both feel better - he was worried for a few months that is get an abortion even though I told him a million times that I personally wouldn't and that I'm pleased to have his kid and if I weren't I wouldn't have let him get me pregnant. Silly guys!)
