To Ski or Not to Ski...

As my favorite season is quickly approaching and both the snow reports and my belly are accumulating inches, I'm beginning to wonder if I need to sit this season out. 
I fully understand the risks involved, I've been skiing since I was a tot so I trust myself, I'm fit so I'm not worried about my heart rate, and my midwife advises I'll be fine and to go ahead. 
That being said, I'm looking for opinions from women who've skied pregnant: how much is my new center of gravity going to throw me off? Are my ever growing hips going to start bothering me? Is it worth all of that to not sit out a season (I've missed 2 since I was 5.)?
