How far apart?

My contractions are 8 min apart right now. They don't hurt very bad... But how far apart before I should head to the hospital??

I would wait till 5 minutes. and go directly to labor and delivery not the er

I heard about the 411 rule which was interesting. No one who's followed it has been turned away from the hospital saying they weren't far enough along!! 4 minutes apart, one minute long, for one hour unless it changes!! Good luck!!

Depends on how far away you are from the hospital. We are 45 minutes away and was told to leave when they are 7 minutes apart.
