How does it feel? Compared to a cervical check.

It was uncomfortable but not painful. Still went into labor a week late with help.

I had it done twice. The first time it was a little uncomfortable. The second time brought tears to my eyes it hurt so bad. I did it at 38 and 39 weeks and I was induced at 41 wks 1 day. Soooo I wouldn't say it worked for me but with this pregnancy, I'd definitely try it again.

I didn't think it was bad. My labor started the next morning.

Extremely uncomfortable. My OB did it several times and it didn't work for me. :( I ended up being induced at 42 weeks.

It didn't hurt for me, and my water broke with in 15 minutes of having it done I was 42 weeks.

It is extremely uncomfortable. Much worse than cervical checks. I don't recommend them. I had in my birth plan that I didn't want it, but my doctor didn't read it and didn't ask me when he started doing it. My second pregnancy I made sure it didn't happen by saying I didn't want it at each appointment in the last few weeks. I'll do the same with this pregnancy too.

It doesn't feel great, but in my experience I had the worst cramps afterwards and contractions but still didn't go into labor until 2 weeks later.

It hurt, but it's nothing compared to labor.  It didn't help start my labor.  I still ended up inducing.
