Anyone balanced school and baby before?

Question

My first baby is due June 8th and I start my senior year at Florida State at the end of August. I'm glad that I'll have a couple months off with baby, but I'm curious to see how things will work out my senior year.

Anyone have experience with having a baby in college?

I'm a full time college student. I have an autistic 5 year old boy (had him at 19) and a sassy 16month old girl and I'm due with #3 June 25th. It's really hard and its extremely difficult to get homework done but its possible. Just keep your goal in mind and remember who your education is for. It will be hard now, but so worth it in the end.

I was in college with my son when he was 3-8. Not really a baby, but I was apart of the student-parent group on campus and became friends with a lot of students who were pregnant or had babies. Thankfully we were able to take reduced course loads and still get full financial aid. Family housing is nice as well. I would first contact your schools student-parent center/resource office. They will become your biggest support system.

I did it. I was a single mother, working full time and going to school online full time. Organization and time management is key!! My son was a newborn when I began and 3 years old when I graduated, so he got used to the schedule I stuck to. He learned how to be independent and play on his own while I did homework. When he was a newborn it was actually easier than when he was older because he slept so much. Find what works for you and don't give up! Someday it'll be a great example for your child!
