Evening promise oil

I have been taking 1000mg of evening promise oil every morning I also take an omega 3 along with my multi prenatal. Because I read that the promise can delay ovulation I only take one instead of three and my husband says he can defiantly tell the difference. So should I up the dosage for my fertile week (or until I get a +opk) just for extra measure or should I be good?
