Vaccinations

I'm 36 + 5 and have asked everyone who is going to be around our baby to make sure they have their flu shots and their whooping cough vaccine. My mother-in-law says she has never gotten the flu shot and wont, and hasn't had a whooping cough vaccine in over 10 years, and has made up some excuse that her doctor said because of her diabetes she shouldn't have it. I don't know what truth there is to that, but I know she is planning on staying with us for 2 weeks after the baby is born, and then will be her daycare once I head back to school. I just don't know what to do, I really want everyone vaccinated. Suggestions?
