How soon to start a registry?

I am 16 +1.....3rd pregnancy but 1st successful one so far... how soon should I start a registry? I won't be finding out the sex of the baby though my fiancé will...he's not to tell me or anyone else so we are doing a gender neutral baby shower but not till after 30 weeks! First time with really planning anything like this...need help!!

I started right away. Gave me plenty of time to research my options. And it helped calm my sense of needing to "do" something for the baby.

This is my first, since my theme is staying the same either way, I started as soon. As I found out I was pregnant. I'm now 17 weeks, and a friend is throwing a shower, so I let her know where I am registered so she could put it on the invitations

What I did was wait until I knew the sex of my daughter, then I started the registry
.. We will be doing the same for this baby (it's been 10 years). After my anatomy scan my SO and I will go and do the registry, and then I will probably add to it from the online options as well. My family lives almost 2 hours away, so my baby shower will probably just be my SO's family and his mom's friends... I don't know anyone in this area at all.

Because you aren't finding out the sex, you could start your registry as soon as you want.

I'm scared to start it with the constant worry of what if.... I know I shouldn't think like that especially with how great this pregnancy is going but...I guess it wouldn't hurt to get a list of what we need and do some research

I have started it but really more for myself than for anyone else so I have a list of what we need.  It changes as I change my mind.  I got sucked into the hype when we went to one of the baby stores and scanned all the super nice stuff, but now I am trying to research and modify for more affordable options.  I also think it might be good for the holidays...family might want to buy us baby stuff for Xmas.  I don't plan on sharing it unless asked about it period.

With my first 3 I waited until the 3rd trimester and I think that's about how long my friends waited for theirs too

I started my registry at 15 weeks, I asked the lady that helped me and she said some women go register the day they find out... I think you can start now
