The pill?

How do I persuade my mum to let me go on the pill? I'm 16 and in a relationship so I want to use it as a birth control but if i told my mum I wanted to have sex I don't think she'd let me see my boyfriend a lot or let us be home alone. I also want to go on it to regulate my period and stop ovulation pains so I could use that as an exuse, any tips on asking her?

Answer

You don't need to ask her (unless you need money). Once you're of legal age you can go to the doctor and tell them you want the pill and they give it to you, your mum doesn't need to know.

If you're set on your mum knowing, what I do is I tell my nan first (she's super understanding and has a little aurthority over my mum) and then I get her to back me up. 
It doesn't have to be your nan but it prove would help if they're older, getting siblings doesn't work because they're "young and naive and don't have any wisdom "

Same here, just lie about you period and say you get them every two weeks or they are irregular and heavy then go to the doctors and say they prescribed the pill. Easy

I'm 17 and in the same situation, I think I'm just going to ask how she feels about me going on the pill and see where it goes from there. ❤️ ( also depends on the relationship you have with your mom.)
