Do most people's water break before labor or after?

I'm extremely nervous and want to know as much as I can so I'm prepared

Each woman is different. My water broke at home and I live an hour and a half away from the hospital so I was gushing the whole way and as soon as I stood up to go into the hospital my contractions started and I could barely stand. I dialed to a 5 but after that they had to give me pitocin. I was in back labor so bad that they had to give me an epidural to calm my nerves and relax my body so I would dilate more. After that I dilated to a 10 within 2 hours. All together I was in labor for 10 hours. The back labor was very painful but I would do it a thousand times more if I could re live my son being born (:

My doctor broke it after I was in labor awhile.

My first pregnancy it never broke. The dr had to do it at 41 weeks and I had him 12 hours later. My second it broke on its own at 39 weeks and I had him 4 hours later! I'm pregnant with #3 and hoping my water break on its own again and I have a fast labor 💕
