Longer IUD periods?

I had my first baby in August and had the Mirena IUD put in about a month and a half ago. My first period was about 2 weeks long and my second about 10-12 days long. I didn't know if that was because it was my first period after having a baby or if it's the IUD. The dr told me it should subside with time. Anyone have a testimony?

Yes eventually mine completely stopped! ive had the iud put in twice and both times I've had Long periods for 5 -6 months and then it slowly stopped and came as it pleased.somtimes i have no period one month or have a period and it last 2-3 days very light

They told me my periods would go away but I still get mine every month and it lasts about a week. I'm about to yank this shit out, not literally lol but I'm going to get it removed. My periods did not last this long before.
