Getting the Skyla tomorrow?

Question

I'm getting the Skyla (like the mirena but smaller for women who haven't had kids) and I'm really nervous. They had to give me Valium. I heard it hurts really bad and I'm so scared. Anyone have it?

I've never had kids before and I have the Mirena... I agree it was really painful. Afterwards make sure you don't have anything to do so u can go home and rest. I messed up and got it done on my lunch break and had to go back to work.. Biggest mistake ever lol they had to send me home. Also u might be in pain or bleed abnormally. I bled for a month straight  before my period went back to normal.

I have a Paragard and I've never had kids before. It was def in the top 5 most painful things I've ever experienced, but I've heard that it didn't hurt at all for some. After it was in/now I can't feel it at all but I really wish my OBGYN would've warned me! Just breathe and take an ibuprofen beforehand. It probably will be better for you since that IUD is made for people who haven't had kids aw well! Good luck!!
