My mom wants me to do some kind of birth control, honestly I don't want to because I don't like taking pills that I don't absolutely need and I'm also worried about the negative affects it can have on my body. Should I stick to no pill or take a pill? Also what negative affects can it have on me to take it, I've been told of many!

Are you sexually active? If not then if say no pill. If you are then you may want to consider it as a form of BC. Personally I do not take the pill, I have tried a few different types and they all made me sick. My partner always wears a condom and I have never had a problem. Different people have different reactions, you won't know what your reaction will be unless you try.

There are other types of birth control you can look into. I have to take pills every morning so it just in my routine. But I have friends that can't take any pills, and they get the shot every 6 months.

It depends why you're taking it! If you're having sex or have extremely heavy periods then take it but if you're not having either of those there's no need to take it!

You don't have to take pills, there's other forms of BC such as shots, the ring, the patch etc find the best that works for you. If you're going to be sexually active please be responsible about it
