Are laxatives ok to take while pregnant?

My doctor said it was fine but I been reading bad things about it

You can prune juice,  stool softeners,  and miralax have all been ok'd by my docs.

During my pregnancy in the pass i was prescribed prenatal vitamins with stool softener but its ok to have a laxative just dont over do it dronk lots of water and try and take in as much fiber metamucil is safe during pregnancy also just to let you know and it works

Try the "cocktail" we give our post partum patients, oj, apple juice, prune juice, warm it up, enjoy. Milk of magnesia is okay too.

No not at all, try a cup of coffee or something else with caffeine and then drink a big glass of water....always works for me

No way! 
I took a all organic all natural vegetable laxative while I was pregnant with my first. I thought I would be okay because it was organic all natural but a week later my water broke 9 weeks early and I had my daughter 8 weeks early after being on bed rest at the hospital for a week. They tell you not to take them while you're pregnant.

I would avoid any medication if possible. Try a high fiber diet and lots of water.
