Another update 11/13/15

Well, in yet another turn of events, today there was a fetal pole. She was not expecting to see any growth. As the embryo is now developing on a normal time frame, as we saw the yolk sac 72 hours ago, she said there is a chance that this may turn out okay. We are coming back next Friday, on my birthday no less, for an ultrasound- if there is no heartbeat at that time- then I will have the D&C. If there is a heartbeat, the embryo was slow starting for some reason, but would most likely be a normal viable pregnancy because we know the embryo was normal. She said that if there's a heartbeat, we should treat this as a normal pregnancy. Since my doctor does not lean optimistic, I was shocked when she said there is a chance this will turn out okay. When I asked her if it was unlikely, she said it really could go either way at this point. So I don't know!  I'm in shock. My husband was also in shock.
