Not including condoms or withdrawal, is your IUD the first BC you've used?

I used pills: made me gain weight

I used the Nuva ring: I was scared of it and it was uncomfortable

I did the arm insert: didn't like
The effects it had on me

And now I have the three year IUD and my boyfriend never pulls out, I'm not pregnant, and I don't have any periods basically and I haven't gained any weight!

Definitely my favorite!

I've tried the pill but I suck at taking pills- already take 3 for diff medical reasons so I hated adding another one to the mix.

Then tried the implant and that was great. But then one of me meds changed and it made the efficacy of my BC drop to 60%

And that's why I'm on the IUD. Basically the only form of birth control that can work for me at the moment. And I love it at the moment. There may be cramping and weird bleeding but it's manageable in my opinion :)

I used the pill in  high school but I wouldn't take it regularly so I moved on to the patch but I didn't feel sexy getting naked and having it being seen so I moved to the ring used that for a few months didn't like that it sometimes came out during sex and it gave me weird vaginal discharge. So I finally opted for a long term birth control and got the Mirena and I love it.

I have used the implant for 4 years and I have been on 2 different types of pill. The copper coil is far the best one I have ever used!
