How many frozen embryo should I transfer!?

I'm currently on IVF treatment and my egg retrieval is on 11/20/15 and the embryo transfer would be on 1/9/16 I have not decided on how many embryos should I transfer ? Any tips!??

My doctor strongly recommends transferring just one, unless you're over 35.  But it really depends on the quality of your embryos and what they look like on day 2-3 after fertilization.

My doctor also strongly recommends transferring only one. She showed me stats today on the SART website (you should plug in your info and see what it tells you). The live birth rate for my age for one cycle with one embryo transfer was 44% with a 2% chance of a multiple pregnancy (US National average). By the end of the second cycle, the rate was 63%, followed by 76% after 3 cycles (for taking home a baby). Then she scrolled down to show me the live birth rate for one cycle with 2 embryos implanted. It was 47% with a 40% chance of multiples! So, if you don't want a high risk multiple pregnancy, you are much safer with one transfer and trying again if needed. At my clinic, the Frozen Embryo Transfer is $2200, so it's much less than your first IVF Cycle with ER. I should also note that she does 5-day-old blastocyst transfer, not 3-day-old zygote transfer. (I'm still learning, so I hope I said that correctly.) Baby dust!
