Length of period cycle?

My period generally lasts five days. The day before, and the day after my
Period I will have light spotting. For the purposes of this app, would I count those as period days? So instead of five days, my period would be 7? Thoughts?

Spotting is not your period. You should log it as spotting. Only log actual flow as your period

I usually count it as a period until I don't see any anything ..before a period if I spot I just put spotting until it gets heavy

Good question! I'd like to know too. I usually say 5 days but on day six I have very very light spotting. I don't know if that should be counted as an actual day or not
