Induction?

I think my baby will come after his due date..I'm due next week. This is my first. Does the doctor usually schedule the induction a week after the due date or sooner?

If my doctor would suggest an induction would it be safe? I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow

My due date was Friday and still no signs of baby. Doctor said at my appointment this Friday (41 weeks) I will need to have an ultrasound to measure fluid around baby and check on my placenta. As long as both things check out, I don't need to be induced until 42 weeks. It's hard being overdue and I'm getting impatient but I know that due dates are just an estimate and my baby will come when she is ready :)

A week after if u have no problems...and a week before if your high risk or something
