Has anyone here suffer(ed) with TMJ??

It is honestly terrible, I was only diagnosed with it this year and it has been the worst pain. And really depressing. It has killed my self confidence.

I've always had problems with my teeth but then my jaw started to click and seem to go out of place, I could hardly open my mouth to brush my tongue let alon eat properly.

I've been seeing an oral surgeon, an orthodontist, and a dentist and I'm forever at the hospital for them all.

My jaw is angled slightly, I have no cushioning in my jaw joints, and very little cartilage so it's just bone on bone, which is why it's so painful.

I've got a massive overbite because my bottom jaw is extremely short, which means my wisdom teeth are trying to grow out underneath my other teeth.

The pain is about a 6-7/10 on good days.

I am waiting for get my wisdom teeth removed and a surgery to help with the pain, they are removing all the "gunk" in my jaw joints and inserting medication.

Then I will be waiting for bracers and jaw lengthening surgery which is obviously a major surgery but I need to wait 6-18 months for my jaw deterioration to settle.

All this just makes me so depressed, I am in pain constantly, my SO can't kiss my cheeks without me screaming in pain. My self confidence is just gone because there is soo much wrong with my face which makes it hard to accept compliments and talk about it to my SO so he really understands :/

Just looking for someone who actually understands this pain haha :( to talk through my journey.

P.S Im allergic to anti-inflammatories so I can't take those to help with the pain 😅

P.P.S this is my terrible jaw I hate so much >.<
