Do you get an ultrasound in the third trimester?

I am 31 weeks + 3 days. I have started my biweekly appointments this month, but was just curious if I am going to get another ultrasound. My little guy has been pretty active and I would really like to see how he is laying, so I know what it is I am feeling when he pushes out on my stomach.

My Dr. told me that unless I go over my due date or something comes up that could be concerning, I won't get another one... Kind of disappointing!

I'm having an ultrasound next week 34 weeks to make sure baby is in position to come out soon!!! Based on that result will determine if that's the last one! FYI I've only had 2 others.

Your doctor should be able to tell when they do an internal exam! And at 36 weeks they should do an internal because you will need to get the strep b swab done.

I'll get one at 36 weeks but I am petite so the doctor wants to keep an eye on size of baby girl so she can decide if I need a c-section or not

Yes, but my doctor's office said they usually only do them if there is a medically compelling reason to do so (because insurance won't cover it).

My hospital does them at 36 weeks to check position. I've heard a lot of practices do not do 3rd trimester sonograms. I'd ask your doc:

I will have one around 34 weeks due to size concerns of my baby. He is measuring 3 weeks ahead of our due date and they are thinking a scheduled c-section may be best for me and baby.
