Hi, I am 8 weeks 4 days according to my last period and 8 weeks today according to my ultrasound size. I had my first ultrasound yesterday. We were told that we have two things that are cause for concern and we were sent to a specialist in two hours from our first normal doctors appointment. They are echogenic cardiac focus and prominent rhombencephalon. We were told that together they can mean that there are chromosomal abnormalities. Has anyone else experienced this with good outcomes later in pregnancy? The pictures look very scary to me. I am 26 and this is my first pregnancy and I have no known health issues and my husband is the same way. We also have never had any family history of anything either.
