I love it! It feels really good, everything is extra sensitive. The only thing is, you have to be prepared for a mess! And you can't do crazy positions. 
Towel on the bed, 2 towels by the bed ready for a shower after, and wet wipes are always good for a quick clean up. 
Don't feel embarrassed, periods are natural and so is sex. Why should you go a week without when (most...in my opinion) men expect blowjobs.

I did it once last year because I was curious and really turned on haha it felt really good, but after I felt dirty and embarrassed (we laid down a towel and of course blood was everywhere) and I actually started to cry. Luckily, my boyfriend is amazing and took me into a really warm shower and washed my hair and massaged my back and then gave me clean clothes and fed me ice cream. Some of my friends have done it, but I won't do it again. It's all about preference! I hear people have awesome orgasms while having period sex-some not so much.

I just don't think it's sanitary, plus, I don't enjoy staining, and it's kind of difficult to have sex in the shower.
