I was only told not to eat anything too sugary right before my test. I wasn't required to fast at all and I passed the one hour with a 105 when a 130 or below was required. But I agree about not eating anything sugar free while pregnant. I try to avoid the artificial sweeteners.

My midwife told me not to have a bunch of sugar the morning of the test but I made the mistake of eating nothing! I failed the test and had to take the three hour test which really sucked… Thank God I passed it! The best thing to eat is a piece of whole wheat toast with some peanut butter on it so you get good carbs and protein.
