Midwife or OBGYN?

Has anyone used a midwife for theor pregnancy? If so, how was your experience? Only the UNited states uses an obgyn primarily during pregnancy and im interested to learn about the differences.  Im thinking of switching to a midwife for a more personal, natural approach.

The hospital I'm delivering at offers both. I have set up with a midwife to help me through labor or if I choose to deliver in the birthing tub, she will be the one to help with that. Otherwise, the doctor will be the one. I personally like having both. In the event that something might go wrong, I feel comforted that my doctor will be there and that my midwife will be there to keep me calm lol.

I use a midwife.  We have both.  If you use a midwife in the U.S. they mainly can't do thing a like major surgery.  But they can do small things still like predictions and an episiotomy if you need one.

If there's a medical emergency with your pregnancy they will usually call in an OBGYN for you.

I live in u.s.a and at the practice I go to have both.  My 1st child was delivered by midwife and my last child was delivered by obgyn both experiences were the same for me.
