Do you think that the USA should allow Syria's refugees to enter the country?

I hope that I won't end up regretting posting this poll lol. I know how strongly opinionated some people get. Let's keep it friendly please.

There is people that are trying to create a better life for their families, there are families who are being torn apart, murdered in cold blood and need our help (I'm from Canada) but the fact that "no" is the highest rated answer disgusts me. Imagine if you were in their situation. They need our help.

President Obama’s Double Standards on Syrian Refugees

Yesterday President Obama condemned GOP Presidential candidates saying that their position on Syrian refugees was shameful. But lets be clear: Everyone understands that people who face slaughter and persecution need assistance and America is a great light and democracy in the world that has always taken in the persecuted.

Remember how the Jews died at Hitler’s hands when the FDR administration turned their backs on them.

But the President’s words on Syria ring hollow. He in large part owns this refugees crisis. He was asked for years to do something to save the people of Syria – to enforce a no-fly zone so that Assad could no longer murder the 200,000 or more that he’s already killed. Obama was asked to train and support moderate rebels who might successfully oppose the Assad regime. He was asked especially to keep his promise to punish the Assad regime for gassing innocent Arab children.

And none of this involved boots on the ground or American troops in the Middle East. That he decided not to do any of these things is dishonorable, especially when he refused to punish Assad for gassing children.

It goes without saying that refugees would rather not be refugees. They would rather not have to be admitted to any country. They would much rather be safe in their own country. President Obama could really have helped. But against nearly everyone’s advice he did absolutely nothing in Syria thereby helping to force a crisis.

And now, these persecuted people from Syria are being tainted by the murderers who enter countries with them, thereby making those countries reluctant to receive them. Perhaps President Obama should finally take action in Syria to mitigate the crisis so that no more innocent Arabs die in Syria.
