Anyone with vulvodynia here?

I was diagnosed a few months ago and I could really just use someone to talk to. It's so hard trying to discuss it or explain it to people who don't know what I'm going through. It's also been really difficult for my boyfriend and I :( just feeling really depressed.

Hey ladies 
I began to suffer from Vulvodynia about 8 months ago after a traumatic experience and then a series of thrush diagnoses. After doing a lot of research I started taking really good quality probiotics and made sure to replace the good bacteria in my gut by drinking kefir water and eating fermented foods. At first I thought it sounded crazy but I was desperate enough to try anything...the treatment they give for thrush, uti’s etc kills off all bacteria, good and bad. Therefore, it makes sense that it upsets the balance of the healthy bacteria which could cause discomfort. My symptoms have lessoned and I’ve been able to have pleasurable sex. Give it a try.

Hi ladies!  I suffered with it for years tried everything.  I finally went to the top specialist in the country and I thank God for him.  Unfortunately, which they predicted, it came back with my pregnancy I'm hoping afterwards it will subside.  It started mild and increased to a severe case lasting years.  Any questions ask away

I was diagnosed a few months ago. Has been super frustrating for our relationship but we are trying to support each other. I was prescribed lidocaine gel and it was a little helpful but did not get rid of the pain entirely. I stopped using it and have just been focusing on relaxing... I just started going to physical therapy for pelvic floor work and I'm hoping this will be the solution I need!!!

I've been suffering with painful sex for the past 7 months and never really knew a cause and today the doctor told me it was vulvodynia. She prescribed me lidocaine gel to use. Have you guys used it? Did it help at all?
