Tampon issues

I do martial arts and my tampon actually fell out once when I was fighting. This is no joke. I haven't worn one since. However, I have a tournament coming up and I happen to be on my period on the day and I feel like my only option will be a tampon.. But I want to save myself the embarrassment!
