Please help me ladies! Miscarry?

Af is normally 4 days with at least  2 being heavy. In August I had light pink spotting on and off for 8 days, I assumed was just a really odd AF. After I missed September AF, but for a few weeks I had cramping like AF would show but didn't. I was a little alarmed as I have always had regular AF and I only cramp the day before AF is due. I had hormone levels checked and a transvaginal to see if I had pcos, which I came back negative. Everything was fine. But then on the 31st of October till the 8th of November I had severe cramps and very very heavy bleeding. I'm at a loss, of what I experienced. My dr had previously not done blood work for pregnancy as he believed I was too overweight to get pregnant. After seeing him today, he believes that I did miscarry. What does this sound like to you? Please help, I'm so sad.
