Repeat/Planned c-section moms

When did you have you older kid visit you in the hospital post c-section? I have an almost 3 year old that is over the moon to meet her little sister. My husband thinks she should come after her afternoon nap that day to visit and I would love that. However, I have also heard sometimes seeing mom hooked up to tons of stuff and semi out of it isnt good and people wait til the next day. Thoughts?
