Clomid and hsg... any thoughts??

Starting clomid on sat and getting an hsg on tues. Been TTC since jan. Just wondering if anyone wants to share their experiences or have any thoughts.

I know an hsg can be painful but not for everyone. I had one before & just felt crampy afterwards. & I've been blessed with 2 beautiful children using clomid. Each time it took 6 rounds before I became pregnant.

I had an hsg it was pretty painful and I got a fever shortly after, but the test showed one blocked tube and one open. Took us a while but we finally conceived. The first time was with clomid but it took 7 rounds. The second time happened on its own.

The month after I had my hsg done I got pregnant(after a whole year of trying after a miscarriage). So I wound up not having to take chlomid :)

I did both and got pregnant  with twins they will be 3 dec 29th

I did the HSG before starting clomid....I think they usually do the HSG before incase there is blockage. The procedure itself isn't too bad....it was just cramping and not even as bad as my worst menstrual cramps. Good luck!

HSG is painful . One of my Fallopian tubes were blocked so they had to put extra fluid through it , it feels like a very very awful cramp but it's worth it in the end . I'm on my second round of Clomid so I'm hoping for a positive outcome ! Good luck.

Personally I would do the hsg first and then do the clomid afterward. I did clomid and then my hsg and my progesterone levels were the lowest I ever had and I was out of commission for almost a week. The procedure itself wasn't bad but the after fact symptoms of the 2 were painful.

Clomid and hsg... any thoughts??
