Is there such thing as too much sex when TTC?

My RE told my hubby and I to have sex as much as possible over the next week,multiple times a day if possible. I did clomid and got my trigger shot. 4 good follies. So we have been doing it a lot but I've also read that sperm need at least 24 hours to regenerate... What things haveyou  heard?
