How much pain are you in when it comes to period cramps?

I always get a stomach ache before I get my cycle and the first (sometimes second) day too- it just feels like all my insides want to be on the outside... I have to stop everything I'm doing & just zone out cause it hurts so bad-  I always feel like I'm dying - heh.. Sometimes taking Midol helps, other times, not so much..
