My daughter will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Fortunately, she took to breastfeeding right away. However, the last few days she's been pulling away from the breast and immediately starts crying. If I put her up on my shoulder when this happens she usually calms down. I thought maybe it was gas but even after trying everything to burp her - she doesn't. I *think*...and this is after my own research...I have an overactive letdown. Often times she'll pull away from the breast early into the feeding and I notice my breast leaking...sometimes even spraying. When this happens usually she starts coughing like she's choking on milk. Any other mommys out there with an overactive letdown? What are your experiences and how did you overcome it?
