Respecting weight loss?

For those who lose weight by gastric bypass, weight loss pills, etc., do you give them props on their weight loss and respect it? Or do you not pat them on the back because they cheated their way out?

It's not the easy way out. I had a friend who went through it and yes the surgery helped him lose weight but he did it on his own as well. He can't drink soda, or alcohol. There are restrictions on what you can and can't eat so to me it's not the "easy way out"

Some people need a little more help because of underlying problems so the ones who said "no respect" can go fuck themselves. Sometimes it isn't as easy as dieting and exercising. This post is stupid as fuck. Why degrade people on how they lost weight ?? Atleast they lost the weight. I mean wtfff ????

do whatever you need to do to get yourself healthy. having a surgery is not "cheating" - it's a surgery that comes with its own risks.

Cheated their way out? You clearly have no understanding of all that gastric bypass entails.

Weight loss surgery isn't an easy out. 
With bypass, sleeves and such- you can have pop, sugar or anything starchy because it can cause you to have what's called "dump syndrome"- where you get flu like symptoms and it can seriously damage your digestive tract. 
Lap Band surgery is what I had and the band is just a tool. It helps to constrict your intake. But it's still up to you to make sure that you're eating correctly, exercising and making good choices.

There are a ton of restrictions on what you can eat after weight loss surgery. I have two friends who have done it and they stick to strict diets, work out, etc. You don't just get the surgery and poof, you're magically thin you still have to work at it, so yes, they get props.
